Can’tbelieve that I haven’t written about this yet…but next week at this time I’ll be in Adelaide, South Australia. I’ve been invited to the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute , a marketing institute affiliated with the University of South Australia similar to ITRI here at Murdoch. I’ll be giving a couple of talks. I’m excited about both of them. One will return me to an area I haven’t thought about very much lately…even though I recently had a study published in Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media about it…and that is advertising clutter in radio. The talk will be called:
Radio’s Clutter Conundrum: Balancing ad effectiveness and industry pressures with listener attitudes and tolerance–a report on two experiments
The second one will be a combo of ones I’ve given as part of my seminar series at Murdoch. It’s title is:
Is The Third Time a Charm?: The spotty past, booming present, and hazy future of psychophysiology in the media psychology laboratory.
Should be a fun time. Plus, I get to see another part of this marvelous country! And, on top of that I found out today that I’m going to be there at the leading edge of Adelaide’s Fringe Festival. Cool!
